Hello and welcome! I’m a licensed therapist with a deep passion for supporting individuals, especially teenagers, and their families through various challenges. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and collaboration, and I believe that effective therapy stems from building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can openly express yourself and work toward the positive changes you desire.

Adolescence is a transformative period, and my goal is to provide guidance and understanding as teens and their families navigate these transitions together. I have developed a keen understanding of the intricate balance between autonomy and connection, and I am committed to fostering healthy communication and relationships within families. In addition to working with families and teens, I have a passion for helping individuals with difficulties they encounter on this journey of life.

Areas of Specialty: I specialize in several areas that have a significant impact on the lives of adults, teenagers, and their families:

  • Anxiety and Depression: Together, we will explore the roots of your anxiety and depression, and I will provide you with effective tools to manage these emotions and regain a sense of control and well-being.
  • Spiritual Issues: Navigating questions of spirituality and finding meaning in life’s challenges can be both enriching and challenging. I am here to support you in exploring, deconstructing, and reconciling your spiritual journey.
  • Body Image: Our self-perception can greatly influence our emotional well-being. We’ll work together to cultivate a healthy and compassionate relationship with your body.
  • Relationship Difficulties: Building and maintaining healthy relationships is a crucial aspect of well-being. I’ll guide you in enhancing your communication skills and fostering meaningful connections.
  • Trauma: Healing from past trauma is a brave and transformative process. Through a trauma-informed approach, we’ll work together to address and heal the wounds of your past.
  • Self-Injurious Behavior: I provide a compassionate space to explore the underlying factors contributing to self-injurious behavior, and we’ll develop healthier coping strategies together.

Therapeutic Approaches

In my practice, I draw from a combination of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to best address your needs. Dialectical Behavior Informed-Therapy (DBT) provides tools to strengthen you in your everyday life while focusing on acceptance and change. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) allows us to examine the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, creating a path towards positive change. Mindfulness-based therapies are also integral to my approach. Cultivating mindfulness can help you develop self-awareness, manage difficult emotions, and find a sense of peace amidst life’s challenges. Through a combination of mindfulness techniques, I guide you towards a deeper connection with your thoughts and emotions, enabling you to navigate them with greater clarity and resilience. Internal Family Systems (IFS): Understanding the different parts of yourself and how they interact can lead to profound healing and self-discovery. The overall aim is to help you feel better and more in control of your life.

Individual and Family Therapy

I believe that healing is not only an individual journey but also a collective one. That’s why I offer both individual and family therapy sessions. Individual sessions provide a confidential and supportive space for you to explore your personal struggles and growth, while family sessions allow for open communication and understanding within your family unit.

Your Journey Toward Healing Begins Here

Getting started on the path toward healing takes courage, and I am honored to walk alongside you every step of the way. Together, we will work toward understanding your challenges, embracing your strengths, and creating meaningful change. I am here to provide the guidance and support you need. Your story matters and I am excited to meet you.

I understand that you are unique and I tailor my approach to suit your specific needs. Whether you’re struggling with the weight of anxiety or working to heal from past trauma, I will utilize the therapeutic relationship, knowledge, and tools I have to help you become empowered in your life.
