Hello, have you considered reaching out to a counselor for a while but did not know where to start, where to turn or who to reach out to? By checking out this website, you have acknowledged that you want a different outcome for your future. I would love to help you achieve your personal goals. I am passionate about working with young adults (18-24), adults and parents in various capacities. My goal is to help you through difficult times. It is important to know you are within a safe and nonjudgmental environment.  I am here to help you evoke your natural tools and provide guidance during your journey.  No matter where you are in your life’s journey, there are times we want to move beyond existing and surviving and strive to become the best person you know yourself to be. When you work on yourself, you are giving the best gift to you and your family, a refreshed and strengthened self.

I sincerely believe individuals can adapt to change, if they see value in it and are directly involved in its innovation.  Everyone has unique experiences and their own story, struggles and accomplishments. I am here to provide encouragement and evidence-based modalities of counseling. I have helped individuals who have felt marginalized from society and experienced trauma overcome many difficulties. I have worked with persons living with HIV, rape survivors, survivors or domestic violence, persons experiencing depression and anxiety, persons struggling with addictions, and life’s transitions. Together we will meet and work to help you heal and move forward. Treatment is individualized; therefore, we will collaborate to set personal goals and work together to accomplish those goals. My approach utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help with traumas and PTSD. I offer talk therapy interventions in the form of Brief Solutions-Focused Therapy, Prolong Exposure, and Motivational Interviewing Techniques.

There is nothing more rewarding than helping individuals recognize their strengths and become the empowered person they know themselves to be. So when you ask yourself what are the best hopes for your life and what do you want your life to look like? Let me help you answer those important life questions as we go through the steps together to recognize your worth.
