EMDR, the proven Trauma Therapy with the Power to Heal with Dr. Deborah Korn, Psy D

Dr. Deborah Korn

[Episode 96 of The Intentional Clinician Podcast]

Recently, Michael Baldwin, an advertising executive who had been suffering for years without receiving any help, and Dr. Deborah Korn, PsyD, co-wrote a book. Michael continued to have symptoms even after seeing eight therapists, and it wasn’t until he did that he began EMDR therapy. Michael feels fully recovered at this point, and he has never been happier. Michael, an ardent supporter of EMDR therapy, got in touch with Dr. Deborah Korn, PsyD, and together they wrote “Every Memory Deserves Respect,” a book about EMDR therapy for lay people and medical professionals.

Deborah Korn, PsyD, is interviewed by Paul Krauss, MA, LPC, about EMDR treatment, the science that supports it, the procedure, how it differs from talk therapy, and other topics. If you’re curious about EMDR therapy, this episode has some of the terminology that’s easiest to comprehend. We hope you love this episode:

Deborah L. Korn, PsyD, a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Cambridge, MA, is on the faculties of the EMDR Institute in CA and the Trauma Research Foundation in Boston.
