[Episode 71 of the Intentional Clinician Podcast]
On this episode of the podcast, Paul Krauss MA LPC shares his personal experience of creating, running, and building up Health for Life in Grand Rapids, also known as the Trauma-Informed Counseling Center of Grand Rapids.
Over 4 years ago, Paul left a long-time counseling career in Arizona to serve his home state of Michigan. Settling down in West Michigan, Paul set out to create a counseling center that would provide trauma-informed care since he noticed that no other counseling centers in Kent County, Ottawa County, and other local areas had such resources. The Therapists at the Trauma-Informed Counseling Center of Grand Rapids have additional training in empirically proven trauma-specific therapy techniques such as EMDR therapy, Somatic Experiencing Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and more.
Paul talks about how passionate he is about serving the community. He has recently expanded Health for Life’s physical location offerings and provides telehealth services to anyone in Michigan. He has a diverse staff ready to serve clients from all backgrounds–all ethnicities, religions, ages, genders, and more are welcome here. Paul also ensures that he has clinicians who can take a variety of insurance payments and sliding scale payments so that no one has to be turned away from getting the help they need.
Paul Krauss MA LPC is passionate about directing a counseling clinic that delivers the highest quality mental health counseling with therapists who are non-judgemental, passionate, educated, and professional.
